Addiction is a complicated issue that affects millions of people and their loved ones. Given the complexity of the disorder and the various treatment options, it can be difficult to know where to start when seeking help. I have extensive training and experience working with people struggling with substance abuse, and I work to help individuals and their families get connected to resources and information to make the best decisions for treatment.

Since I am not affiliated with any particular treatment program or method, you can trust that my recommendations are based on an individual's needs and preferences. If I believe that a client would benefit from a higher level of care (i.e., intensive outpatient, residential, detox), I am willing to help him/her get connected to the right program. Also, it can be helpful for clients to receive various treatment models, such as individual therapy with me while also attending a outpatient group therapy at a treatment program.
Families
Addiction is a disease that impacts everyone, not just the individual. Families and loved ones of a person with addiction often feel lost, confused, and hopeless about getting help. I work with families and loved ones based on the Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) model to help them cope with the impact addiction has had on the family and increases the chance of getting the addicted person into treatment.
