Teenagers are facing more pressure as they begin to develop their own interests, values, and identity. Just like adults, teens can benefit from having a safe and confidential place to discuss issues that are most important to them, including school, friends, family, and the future. Because teens do not exist in a vacuum, I believe that it can be important to include the family in adolescent counseling, when needed and clinically appropriate. I work with teens ages 14-18.
